Podcast Researcher - Long Form Docuseries

A documentary film-making company is looking for a researcher to work with a talented audio team to make 12 episodes for an anthology podcast in the true crime space.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with the production team to create exciting and compelling long-form podcast episodes. The role will assist our producers with researching each story to zero in on the most important details for the team to pursue.

This role will:

• Identify compelling and necessary guests to interview
• Conducting archival research and writing research briefs
• Pitch suggestions for the strongest beats of each story
• Compile research into a rudimentary storyboard
• Prepare documents for production team

Qualifications

• Two-plus years experience in fast-paced, idea-driven media environments (podcast, radio, television, or related)
• Strong ability to use Google docs/sheets/slides, Notion.so, or similar tools for compiling research
• Ability to think narratively
• Enthusiasm for working with talent, especially non-radio talent
• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
